of Hebron and East Greenwich, in Conn. - [Weygant, p. 109]
Note: The reference to Reuben residing in East Greenwich comes from the founding of the East Greenwich Ecclesiastical Socity in 1756, which later became Warren. - [Thurmon King]
------
Weygant spelled his name as "Sacket." However, in a letter written by him, dated September 5 1792 to his son Dr. Samuel Sackett, he signed his name as "Reuben Sackett."
There also seems to be conflicting dates for the death of Reuben Sackett. Some have June 5, 1803 while others have July 5, 1803. Reuben's will is dated in 1800 and was presented for probate on 25 July 1803. Therefore, the answer to the conflict would be whether or not the heirs waited for almost two months to present the will for probate. The Warren Cemetery Association uses the June 5, 1803 date. - [Thurmon King]

of Westfield, Mass., and of the towns of Hebron and Kent (now Warren) in Conn.
Jonathan Sacket was born and grew to manhood in the town of Westfield.
Immediately after his marriage to Abigail Ashley he took possession of a small farm at Hebron, Conn., which he had purchased the previous year. There is some uncertainty as to just when he removed from Hebron to Kent. The records of Kent show that in the year 1745, "Jonathan Sacket, of Hebron," purchased from one Joseph Fuller, certain lands in that town, and that in 1749 he purchased from one Joseph Phillips another tract in same town. These records also show that in 1749 he conveyed certain lands in the town of Kent to his son, Jonathan Sacket, Jr.
Wills of Jonathan and Anne Sacket.

Jonathan Sackett (1696-1773)
by Thurmon King
As was the case with his father William, I have been unable to find much information concerning Johnathan beyond the bare statistics. Jonathan was the youngest of four children born to William Sackett and Hannah Graves. He was born 20 Mar 1695/96 in Westfield, Hampshire Co. (now in Hampden Co.), MA.
By the time he married Abigail Ashley Feb 1721/22 he had appearantly relocated to Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Abigail appears to have been the daughter of Joseph Ashley of Springfield, MA and Mary Parsons of Northampton, MA. She died in the year she was married leaving no children.
Jonathan then married 23 Jan 1724/25, Anne Filer (Fyler), daughter of Samuel Filer and Abigail Phelps, in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Between 12 Jun 1726 and 14 Apr 1743 Jonathan and Anne had eight children born to them. Some researchers show that in the period between 22 Sep and 18 Oct 1749, three of their youngest children died. Weygant shows that the four youngest "probably died in childhood". Their deaths were probably due to an epidemic of measles which afflicted the states of Conneticut, New York and Pennsylvania starting in 1747.
Jonathan and Anne moved from Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. to Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. sometime before 22 Sep 1750 when Jonathan Sackett signed as a witness to the will of Thomas Beeman (who died in December, 1750) in Kent.
Jonathan died in Kent 1 Sep 1773

9. | Graves, Hannah was born on 24 Jan 1666 in Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA (daughter of Graves, Sgt. Isaac and Church, Mary); died in Unknown. Notes:
Thomas Graves, colonist the grandfather of Hannah Graves Sacket, came to New England accompanied by his wife and several almost or quite grown up sons previous to the year 1631, presumably in one of the vessels of Governor Winthrop's fleet in 1630. Very soon thereafter he erected a dwelling house a few miles inland from Boston. It is recorded in the ancient records of the Colony that when, on March 6, 1632-3, the "line of division between Newtown and Charlestown" was established, it was determined that "the neck whereon Mr. Graves' house standeth shall belong to Newtown."
When in 1636 Mr. Hooker and the larger number of the inhabitants of Newtown removed to Hartford, George Graves, one of the sons of Thomas, joined the migrating company. An account of their memorable journey has been given in the biographical sketch of (1) Simon Sackett, colonist, and his wife Isabel.
The name of George Graves appears engraved on the monument erected, some sixty years since, to the memory of the "Founders of Hartford," in the ancient burying ground of that city. A few years after the date of the Hooker migration, Thomas Graves, with his wife and several children - including his son Isaac - removed from Newtown, then called Cambridge, to Hartford.
Isaac Graves, son of Thomas, the colonist, was married at Hartford about the year 1645 to Mary Church. In 1656 they removed to Hatfield and later to Hadley, where in January 24, 1666, their daughter Hannah, who married William Sacket, was born. [Ref: Proprietors Records, Page 53, Births, Deaths, Marriages of Families 1660-1825.]
Richard Church, colonist, and his wife Annie, were at Hartford in 1637, and removed from there in 1660to Hadley, where he died in December, 1667. In his will he mentions his daughter "Hannah, wife of Isaac Graves."
