      Mrs. M. Berry Services Held

      Funeral services were held yesterday (Thursday) in Ogden for Mrs. Marie Ann Sackett Beery 65, who died in the San Diego County Hospital after a long illness.

      Mrs. Beery was born in Croydon, Feb. 4, 1896, a daughter of Edwin Albert and Hannah Elizabeth Toone Wilde.

      She received her education in the Morgan schools and on June 2, 1915 she was married to George Menzo Sackett in the Salt Lake Temple. He was the victim of a fatal accident at the Cement Plant PJune (sic) 25, 1916. On August 25 she was married to Walter Letter Beery in Ogden. They moved to San Diego where Mr. Beery died in 1938.

      Although Mrs. Beery had no children of her own, she adopted three, Elmer Edwin Beery, San Diego; Russell William Heery, (who was killed during World I War II,) and Mrs. Warren (Jacqueline) Van Waters, Houston, Texas, She is also survived by her stepson, Chester W. Beery, Fort Collins, Colo., and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Daniel (Echo) Beery Boyce, Pacific Grove, Calif.

      Mrs. Beery was a member of the Hillcrest Ward of San Diego Stake, a member of the Relief Society and Sunday School teacher.

      The services were conducted in the Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Theodore London of the Croydon Ward conducting. Burial was in the Croydon Cemetery.
