Kristine (Keenum) Sackett, of Highland, MD, passed away January 8, 2011, in Felton, PA. She was the wife of the late Rev. Phillip L. Sackett, who departed this life in 1999.
Born on June 29, 1944 in Warner Robbins, GA, she was the daughter of Willene D. (Stubblefield) Keenum and the late Lt. Col. John C. Keenum.
Kristine worked as an Office Manager for a physician's office, a House Mother for Sparrow House Ministries, a Sales and Marketing Director for Riderwood Village, a Cake Decorating Instructor for Jo-Ann Fabrics, and a Housing Manager for the National Lutheran Home.
She enjoyed a wide array of hobbies and activities. Especially dear to her was horseback riding, cake decorating, sewing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kristine was a friend to everyone she knew and those who knew her loved her well.
In addition to her mother, Kristine is survived by a son, John F. Ripley and wife, Christine of Ocoee, FL; two daughters, Lisa J. Sackett and husband, Joel of Sykesville, MD and Kristina M. Wenzel and husband, James of Felton; eight grandchildren, Suzannah, Emily, Olivia, Timothy, Gabriel, Phillip, Elizabeth, and Kayla; two brothers, John C. Keenum, Jr. and wife, Diana of Buckeye, AZ and Stephen Scott Keenum and wife Christine of Silver Spring, MD.
