James Lavern Sims James Lavern Sims, 72, passed away at his home Monday, June 21, 2010 in Yuma, AZ. He was born April 16, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio and married Sally Ann Kellogg in Altus, OK on July 28, 1959. James is survived by his wife at the family home; daughters, Chris (Carl) Johnson, Cindy (Johnny) Pruitt, and Cathy (Troy) Sutton; sons; Richard (Lilena) Sims and Rodney Sims; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Huffman and Halsie McAtee. Numerous nieces and nephews. James served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and the reserves for 2 additional years. He was a retired floor installer. Funeral Services will be at Sunset Vista Funeral Home on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 1:30 PM.
