He was a native of Wickliff, IN, and was a retired machinist for the old H.A. Seinsheimer Company, New Albany. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and was a member of A.A.R.P. Survivors: his wife, Violet E. (Middleton) Eckerty; two sons, Donald G. Eckerty of Midland, TX, and Thomas G. Eckerty of Cape Coral, FL; a daughter, Joyce L. Ormerod of Prospect, KY; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Friday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes.
