      Patricia C. Sackett of Denver, a former teacher, died May 8. She was 83.

      Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 S. Ash St. There was cremation.

      She was born Sept. 21, 1911, in Boise, Idaho. She attended the University of Utah. She taught elementary school from 1933 until 1942 and later was a homemaker.

      On Aug. 11, 1942, she married Earl Sackett in Salt Lake City.

      Mrs. Sackett was active in churches and school organizations. She enjoyed plays, camping, hiking and the outdoors.

      She is survived by her husband; a son, Wally; a daughter, Patricia Cady, Tucson; and two granddaughters.

      Major Paul Sackett To Take Bride On April 3rd

      Announcement was made in Hilo Hawaii, in March of the engagement of Barbara Jane Eklund, to Major Paul F. Sackett U S M CR, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Sackett of this city.

      Miss Eklund is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Eklund of Hilo and Honolulu. She attended private schools in Hilo and the University of Hawaii and is now with the San Francisco office of the Hawaiian Gas Products.

      Major Sackett has been stationed in the South Pacific area for the past twenty months.

      The marriage will take place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Sackett on Monday, April 3rd at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Floyd W. Barr of the First Presbyterian church of Salt Lake City performing the ceremony. Miss Ethel Gorlangton of San Francisco, California will attend Miss Eklund as maid of honor, and Mrs. Earl Sackett will act as best man for his brother.

      An informal reception will be held Monday evening honoring Major Sackett and his bride.

      Out-of-town relatives who will be present for the wedding are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sackett and daughter, Patricia of Holden, Washington, Mr. and Mrs Farrel Alsop and son Paul Blair of Kellogg, Idaho. Mrs. A. B. Smith of Los Angeles, California and Mrs. Marion Austin of Glendale, California.
