Graveside services for Martha Pieratt will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Sharon Cemetery in Drexel, Missouri with Pastor Eldon Allen officiating. There is no visitation. Contributions to Heartland Hospice. Services under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri.
Martha Norene Pieratt, age 100 of Butler, Missouri, formerly of Amoret, Missouri died Monday, September 15, 2014 at Willow Lane Nursing Center in Butler. She was born January 18, 1914 to William Daniel and Olivia Carrie Shoemaker Carp in Drexel, Missouri.
Martha is survived by one son, Phillip Pieratt and wife Etha Pearl Black of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Dorothy Marilyn Payne and husband Junior of Amsterdam, Missouri; one half-brother, W.D. Carp of Highland, California; and two stepsisters, Lillis Boyles and husband Joe of Bakersfield, California and Lois Parks of Shafter, California; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 18 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband E.C.; one sister, Mary Graves; and one granddaughter, Paula Payne.

Esta Cecil Pieratt, 80, of Amoret, Mo., died May 17, 1989 at County View Manor in Prescott, Kan. He was born Sept. 16, 1908 in Morgan County, Ky., the son of Milton Leo and Minnie Francis Goodpasture Pieratt. He was united in marriage to Marhta Carp on March 10, 1934 and to this union one son and one daughter were born.
Mr. Pieratt moved to the Amoret community in 1916, but during his lifetime he moved all over the nation. He was a member of the Butler Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter.
He leaves his wife of the home; one son, Phillip Pieratt of Amoret and his wife Donna; one daughter, Dorothy Payne of Amsterdam, Mo., and her husband Junior; one brother, Kern Pieratt of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Rhoda Green of Drexel, Mo., and Mae Carpenter of West Carrolton, Ohio; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held May 19 at the Underwood-Steinbeck-Schowengerdt Chapel in Butler with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Interment was in the Sharon Cemetery near Drexel.
