M. C. Sackett, 51, Edwardsville, Dies
Funeral Rites Saturday at Edwardsville
EDWARDSVILLE -- Melvln C. Sockett (sic), 51, of 1033 West High, an insurance agent, died at 11:45 a. m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Alton, where he had been moved by ambulance after apparently suffering n heart attack in his automobile parked on a downtown street in Alton.
Sackett, a resident here the past 10 years, had been employed as an Insurance agent for 18 years. He was a member of Eden Evangelical Church here. He was born Sept. 4, 1900, at Marine, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Sackett. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lenora Sackett, and a daughter. Miss Melora I. Sackett, both of Edwardsville; also three brothers and two sisters, Clarence Sackett of Pocahontas, Wilbur Sackett of St. Louis, Orvllle Sackett and Mrs. Florence Fischer and Mrs. Theresa Grcer, all of East St. Louis.
The body will remain at Daudermann funeral home at Alhambra until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, when it is to be brought to Eden Evangelical Church here for funeral services in charge of the pastor, the Rev. H. J. Bredehoeft. Interment will be in Grantfork cemetery.

Miss Violette Troutt, daughter of Mrs. Ellen Troutt, of this place, and Mr. Cyrus Sackett of Marine, were married at the home of the bride's mother by Rev. W. H. Stubbins, Wednesday.
