John was the third son born to Rev. John Wells Moore and Frances Harriet Weber in Upper Red Hook, Dutchess County, New York.
John married Anna Zerega on 18 April 1892 in Manhattan, New York City. Anna the daughter of George Theodore Zerega and Juliana Irvine.

MOORE--Mrs. Frances H. Moore, 85 years old, died yesterday at the parsonage of St Paul's Episcopal Church, 714 State Avenue, Kansas side. She was the widow of the Rev. John Wiles (sic) Moore of Red Hook, N. Y. Mrs. Moore had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. R. H. Mize, wife of the rector of St Paul's for the last six years. Besides Mrs. Mize, she is survived by three sons, John Constable Moore of Plainfield, N. Y., Louis Baird Moore of Stamford, Conn., and the Rev. Francis Van Rensselaer Moore of Vineland, N. Y. Funeral services will be at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning at St Paul's Episcopal Church, conducted by the Right Rev. James Wise, bishop of Topeka.

John C. Moore Funeral Will Be Tomorrow
Funeral services for John Constable Moore, 70, of 130 East 24th Street, New York, formerly residing at 1025 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield. will be held tomorrow at 2:45 p. m. from Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. E. Vicars Stevenson, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Mr. Moore was born In New York, member of an old New York family. He died yesterday (July 23, 1935) in Post Graduate Hospital. He was a real estate broker and vicepresident (sic) of the Navy League of the United States. Educated at St. Stephen's College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, on graduation from college he entered the real estate business with the firm of Frothingham & Timpson, which later became Frothingham & Moore. From 1905 to 1917 he was president of the firm of Moore & Wyckoff.
Mr. Moore became interested in naval affairs while a college student and at the beginning of the World War received a commission in the United States Navy, in which he served two years. In 1919 he returned to the real estate business and became affiliated with Albert B. Ashforth Inc. and Douglas Gibbons & Co., before joining the firm of Malcolm E. Smith Inc., 185 Madison Avenue, of which he was vice-president the past three years.
Before holding office in the Navy League, Mr. Moore was on the council of the Naval Order of the United States, of which he was recorder general for six years, and on the council of the Military Order of Foreign Wars. He also belonged to the St. Nicholas Society.
His wife, Mrs. Anna di Zerega Moore, to whom he was married in 1892, died in 1930. Three children survive: Theodore Clement Moore of Aldie. Va, Mrs. Philip J. Schaible of East Lansing, Mich., and Miss Eleanor von Bretton Moore, with whom he made his home.
