Don Phillip Conner, 78, of Kokomo, passed away at 4:00 P.M. Friday, September 21, 2012 in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born October 19, 1933 in Kokomo, he is the son of the late Mark B. Conner and Agnes W. (O'Rourke) Conner. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. In 1967 he married Regina Joan (Hellyer), and she survives. He was employed with Equifax, retiring after over 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed reading, history, and watching sports, especially the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include his wife Regina Joan Conner of Kokomo; one daughter Patricia Marie Conner of Kokomo; one step-daughter Ruth Ann Wright of Kokomo; one sister Mary Jane Gillam of Kokomo; grandchildren Ron McLocklin, Misti Seekel, Rick Kann, Penny Thomas, Christopher Atkins, and Ashley Jackson; great grandchildren Krista, Kaitlyn, Kiley, Isaac, Caliegh, Christopher Jr., Tayla, Dymond, Joshua, Andrew, Macy, and Jordan; also a special lifelong friend, Jack Lechner.
He was preceded in death by his arents, one step-daughter Carolyn Sue Langley, and one great grandson Damian.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 27, 2012 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 North Washington Street, Kokomo. Rev. Father Theodore Dudzinski will celebrate. The family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo; also one hour prior to Mass on Thursday at the church. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:30 Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church with envelopes available at the mortuary.
