      VI. Harriet Hyde, born at Lenox, 18 Feb., 1784, fifth daughter of Gen. Caleb Hyde and Elizabeth Sacket, was a greatgranddaughter of Samuel Hyde (4) of the third generation. She m. 4 Dec., 1802, Isaac Foote, b. 18 April, 1776, at Stafford, Conn., son of Judge Isaac Foote and Mary Kellogg of Smyrna, N.Y.

      [This Judge Isaac Foote was b. 4 Jan, 1746, at Colchester, Conn., the second son of Daniel Foote of Colchester by hos first wife Margaret Parsons of Springfield, was grandson of Nathaniel Foote and Ann Clark of Colchester, was great grandson of Nathaniel Foote and Margaret Bliss of Wethersfield, and was great great grandson of Nathanie Foote and Elizabeth Smith of Wethersfield, which last Nathaniel Foote was born about 1729 in England, and was eldest son of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Deering his wife, who came from England as early as 1633 and settled at Watertown, Mass., and were among the first settlers of Wethersfield, Conn.

      Judge Isaac Foote settled at Stafford, Conn., in 1768, where he was a justice of the peace and a member of the state legislature. He removed in 1794 to that part of Sherburne, N. Y., which is now Smyrna, where he was elected to the assembly and to the senate of New York, and was first judge of Chenango county. He d. 27 feb., 1842, at the age of 96 years. His wife Mary Kellogg, who he m. 31 May, 1768, was b. 1744 at Colchester, and was a descendant in the fourth generation from Joseph Kellogg the first of Farmington, afterwards of Hadley. She d. 15 Nov., 1826, at Smyrna. See Foote Fam. 82, 302.]

      They settled at Smyrna, and removed to Norwich, N. Y., and he was for several years sheriff of the county of Chenango. They were living in Norwich in 1856.
