The Evening Times (Sayre, Pennsylvania), 14 Jul 1958, Page 3 Mr. and Mrs. Asa Chandler, Waverly Mark 57th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Asa Chandler of 431 Cayuta avenue, Waverly, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Thursday, July 3 at their home. The affair was observed quietly as Mrs. Chandler has been in ill health. The couple were married July 3, 1901, in the Presbyterian church in Waverly by Rev. Ross. Mr. Chandler was horn in Sheshequin the son of the late George and Carrie Bidlack Chandler and Mrs. Channdler, the former Miss Grace Sackett, was born in Ghent, the daughter of the late Spencer and Lucy Stevenson Sackett. The couple attend the Christian and Missionary Alliance church and have been residents of Waveriy for the past 40 years where Mr. Chandler was employed in thee general trucking business, until his retirement in 1940. They are the parents of seven children, six living. There are twenty-eight grand children and 24 great grand children.
