Mrs. C. Cowper
WHITE HALL -- Mrs. Claudla May Cowper, 81, wife of Charles Cowper who resided northwest of Patterson, died at 4:30 a. m. today in Passavant Hospital, Jacksonville, where she had undergone surgical treatment last Friday.
The last of five daughters of the late George and Hannah Romine, she was born Jan. 23,1873, in Scott Scouty (sic). Her marriage to Charles Cowper took place, Oct. 30, 1895.
She was a member of Wilmington Baptist Church and Royal Neighbors Lodge, at Patterson.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are four children, Bertie E., Morton, Ill., Mrs. Basil Kennedy, White Hall, and Mrs Harold Wilkinson and Mrs. Ira Crabtree, Patterson; nine grand children, and 22 great grand children.
The body is at Dawdy Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
