      Dr. Charles S. Layton

      Funeral rites for Dr. Charles S Layton, Detroit physician, wilt be held Monday at 5 p. m. in the John F. G. Schmalzriedt Chapel at 4636 Michigan Ave.

      Dr. Layton, who was 61 years old. died at his home, 1256 Newport Ave., Friday after a brief illness. Born in Canada, he attended the Detroit College of Medicine and Surgery, from which he was graduated in 1897. Following graduation he had charge of a Canadian Government hospital in the Klondike. On his return to Detroit he reentered gcneral practice and for the past 12 years had been stall psychiatrist at the County Hospital at Eloise.

      He was a member of the Wayne County Medical Association and Phoenix Lodge No. 13, F. & A. M., at Ypsilanti.

      He is survived by his wife Margaret, and by one son, Charles A. Layton. Burial will be at Grand-lawn.
