Reina Mae (Bray) McBrayer was born July 30, 1924, in Blackwell, to Charles and Viona Abraham, and died Dec. 4 at her home in Lindsay.
She was married to Billy Beryle Bray in Geary Oct. 31, 1939, until his death Dec. 10, 1969. She was a longtime resident of Norman and later moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where she met Troy McBrayer of Grandbury, Texas. They married July 17, 1981, and moved to Lindsay, in 1999.
While living in Grandbury, Mrs. McBrayer owned and operated an alteration shop. She loved sewing, flower arranging, dancing, traveling and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As of late her joy in life was listening to Christian music and Big Band.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Viona Abraham; husband Billy Bray; two sisters, Bonnie and Marilee; seven brothers, C.R., Jack, Ross, Bobby, Ervin, Albert Dale and Laverne; and one great-granddaughter, Erin.
She is survived by her husband Troy McBrayer of the home; sister Hazel Worstler and husband C.L. of Oklahoma City; sons Bill Bray and wife Judy of Norman, Bob Bray and wife Patricia of Atlanta and Randy Bray and wife Debbie of Norman; stepdaughter Becky Pruitt and husband Chuck of Llano, Texas; grandchildren Bill Bray and wife Tayna, Christopher Bray, Trent Bray and wife Jessica of Norman, Greg Bray of Wichita, Amber Bray Claveria and husband Dominique of Seattle, Tim Bray, Toni Engler, Charlotte Bray, Jim Bray and wife Lori of Atlanta; stepson Kyle Pruitt of Llano; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryce Schaffer officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Garden in Oklahoma City.
