  	State of Michigan In the Circuit Court for the County of Wayne In Chancery Cynthia A. Sackett, Complainant -vs- Ezekiel H. Sackett, Defendant No. 4517 At a session of said Court, held at the Court House in the city of Detroit in said County, on the twenty-third day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy four. Present, Hon. Jared Pachin, Circuit Judge. This cause having been brought on to be heard upon the Bill of Complaint, filed therein, taken as confessed by the defendant, and upon the report of Andrew J. Sinzee, a special Circuit Court Commissionera[sic] for said County of Wayne to whom it was referred, by an order heretofore entered therein, to take proofs of the material facts charged in such Bill of Complaint; thereupon reading the Bill of Complaint, the report of such Circuit Court Commissioner, and the proofs accompanying the same, together with the opinion of said Circuit Court Commissioner upon such proofs, from which it satisfactorily appears to this Court that the material facts charged in such Bill of Complaint are true, and that the defendant, Ezekiel H. Sackett has been guilty of the several acts of non-support therein charged, and, also, that he is an unsuitable person to have the care, custody and education of the minor child, Bertha R. Sackett of their said marriage, and that the Complainant, Cynthia A. Sackett is a suitable person to have the care, custody and education of said minor child Bertha R. Sackett, on motion of Wm. Johns Jr. Xsq, of Counsel for said Complainant, it is Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed, and this Court by virtue of the authority therein vested, and in pursuance of the Statute in such case made and provided, Doth Order, Adjudge and Decree, that the marriage bewteen[sic] the said Complainant, Cynthia A. Sackett and the said Defendant, Ezekiel H. Sackett, be Dissolved, and the same is hereby Dissolved, accordingly, and a Divorce from the Bonds of Matrimony between said parties is, also, Adjudged and Decreed. And it is also further Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed, that said Complainant, Cynthia A. Sackett shall have the care, custody and education of the said minor child, Bertha R. Sackett, aged 10 years and being the issue of said marriage between said parties, mentioned and named in the Bill of Complaint in this cause, and that said minor child Bertha R. Sackett shall remain with said Complainant, until said child shall respectively attain the age of fourteen years.
