Capt. Jonathan Alling's will was dated May 25, 1767, and presented in probate court, August 4, 1775, by James Alling, the surviving executor.
Names in will: daughters Mary Dickerman, Sarah Smith, Susanna Alling, and Rhoda Alling. Deceased son John. Sons Jonathan, James, Joseph, Jesse, Oliver.
Of children, Sarah died young; Mary married Samuel Dickerman of Hamden; Jesse married Sara Atwater and died without issue; Oliver died unmarried; Susanna was the last survivor of the children, dying March 5, 1820, aged 92.
