SACKETT Don L. Sackett Sr., 70, of Richmond, died Monday, April 17, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Alma Healey Sackett; son, Donald L. Sackett Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Russell E. and Elizabeth Sacke tt; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn S. and Richard Tisdale and Cecilia E. and Francis Dirksmeier; seven grandchildren, Robert, Kathleen, Katie, Matthew, Heather, Alex and Patrick; and several nieces and nephews. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel,8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and where a Christian Wake will be held 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. Mr. Sackett was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Korean War, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 993 and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 666. In lieu offlowers,contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Lourdes Building Fund, 8200 Woodman Rd., Richmond, Va. 23228, American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060 or the charity of your choice.
