MRS. LULU BROWNFIELD
Mrs. Lulu Blank Brownfield of 300 E. Main street, Ligonier, died Monday in McGinnis Hospital, after an illness of several weeks. Born in Greensburg Oct. 15, 1883, she had lived in Ligonier since 1908. Her husband, Samuel S. Brownfield, died in 1948.
Surviving are three sons (Basil B. of Ligonier, Richard of Erie, William N. of Devon, Pa.), a daughter (Mrs. Margaret Benninghoff of Kingston, Tenn.), a brother (Richard C. Blank of Lake Worth, Fla.), eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rev. George H. Wright of Covenant United Presbyterian Church conducted services Wednesday in Sibel-Wolford Funeral Home and Mrs. Brownfield was buried in Ligonier Valley Cemtery (sic).

Basil B. Brownfield Basil B. Brownfield, 60, of 600 West Main Street, Ligonier, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 1977 at Latrobe Area Hospital.
Mr. Brownfield was born Nov. 15, 1916, in Ligonier, a son of the late Samuel and Lulu Blank Brownfield.
Mr. Brownfield was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ligonier, where he served as an elder. He was an employe of Latrobe Forge Spring Inc., Latrobe.
Mr. Brownfield is survived by his wife, Margaret (Cairns) Brownfield; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Brenda) Haberlen of Ligonier; a son, Basil B. Brownfield of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; two brothers, William N. of Ligonier and Richard of Stahlstown, and a sister, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Benninghoff of Kingston, Tenn.
Funeral services were held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ligonier with the Rev. John McClure officiating. Funeral arrangements by Owen Wolford Funeral Home, Ligonier.
Burial was in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

William N. Brownfield
William N. Brownfield, 75, of 101 Meadow Drive, Oakwood Hills, Ligonier, died Monday, Jan. 17, 1983, in Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1907, in Latrobe, son of the late Samuel and Lulu Blank Brownfield.
A retired supervisor of the AT&T Co., he was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church of Ligonier.
He is survived by his wife, Georgie M. Brownfield; two sons, William N. Jr. of Berwyn, Pa., and George R. of Frederick, Md.; five grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Benninghoff of Kingston, Tenn., and one brother, Richard of Stahlstown.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Owen Wolford Funeral Home, Ligonier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. John J. McClure officiating.
Private interment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant United Presbyterian Church, Ligonier.

RICHARD BROWNFIELD
COCOA BEACH -- Richard Blank Brownfield, 71, a retired installer for AT&T, died Friday, March 24, at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach.
Mr. Brownfield was born in Ligonier, Pa. He was a winter resident of Brevard County for 12 years, coming from Stahlstown, Pa.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Brownfield of Stahlstown and Cocoa Beach; sons, Mark Brownfield of Stahlstown and Richard Brownfield Jr. of Ligonier; and four grandchildren.
No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be in Pennsylvania. Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach is in charge of arrangements.

Richard B. Brownfield
Richard B. Brownfield, 70, of Stahlstown, (formerly of Ligonier) died Friday, March 24, 1989, in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
He was born Oct. 17, 1918, in Ligonier, a son of the late Samuel S. and Lola M. Brownfield.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an installer for AT&T. He was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Lions Club, Byers-Tosh American Legion Post 267, and VFW Post 734, both of Ligonier. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and B.B. Brownfield, and one sister, Margaret Benninghoff.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Baker Brownfield; two sons, Mark S. of Stahlstown RD 1 and Richard B. of Chicago, Ill., and four grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral arrangements will be announced by the Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Ligonier.
Helen H. Snyder, funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
