      HIPLE, LESTER E.
      Sept. 8, 2009

Lester E. Hiple, 88, husband, father, grandfather and Navy World War II veteran, passed away peacefully at home in Sarasota. Born in Canton, Ohio, Les served in the U.S. Navy aboard APA-74 Colusa in the South Pacific.
Les married Peggy Yenchocic in 1943. A tool and die maker, he worked for the Timken Company in Canton for 35 years before relocating to Sarasota. Les then retired from Dana Hydraulics in Sarasota after 10 years of service.
Mr. Hiple is survived by his wife Peggy and four daughters, Leslyn Stewart, Terri Peterson and Kelly Armstrong, all of Sarasota, and Heidi Burbank of York, Maine, as well as six grandchildren, Samantha Jo Peterson, Erin and Morgan Burbank, Ian Stewart and Cory and Taylor Armstrong.
Les, Dad and Papa ... a man of few words, a fixer of all things, and the best husband, father and grandfather. We will miss you. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at shrinershq.org.
