      Haney, Brownlow speak wedding vows

Sweetheart roses and white gladioli decorated Bethlehem Lutheran Church July 31 when Miss Laura Diana Haney exchanged nuptial vows with Edward Paul Brownlow. The Rev. Herbert Schulze officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs, James L. Haney and Mrs. Hazel Brownlow, all of Rapid City. Frieda Fenster provided organ music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was seen in a floor-length, A-line gown of while satin. Styling details were a lace-highlighted bodice and skirt, Juliet sleeves and lace train. The veil was ballerina-length bridal illusion. The gown and veil were fashioned by the bride's sister. The bride carried an arrangement of sweetheart roses, white gladioli and lilies-of-the-valley.

Attending the couple were Miss Linda Haney and Robert Freeman, both of Rapid City. Ushering duties were performed by Leonard Haney and Richard Brownlow, both of Rapid City.

A reception followed the ceremony. Those assisting included the Mesdames Tom Freeman, Robert Freeman, Jerry Freeman and Patrick Caughlin, the Misses Gloria Dunmire, Gail Horsley, Maxine Brownlow and Loretta Haney.

The bride is a 1971 graduate of Rapid City Stevens High School. Her husband is a 1969 alumnus of Rapid City High School.

After a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons, the couple is residing in Richland, Wash.
