MRS. PAUL SACKETT
Mrs. Paul Sackett, 68, of Garland, Kan., formerly of East Moline, died at 4 yesterday morning in her home after a short illness.
The former Lillie Pyle was born in Fort Scott, Kan., and was married to William Paul Sackett in 1916. They lived in East Moline until his retirement from the Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Co. in 1958.
Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Georgia in California; and four sons, Darold in North Carolina, Clifford of Fort Scott, Robert of Moline and William of East Moline.
Services will be at 2 Monday afternoon In the Cheney Chapel, Fort Scott. Burial will be in Clarksburg Cemetery.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Sackett and Lillian Sackett (Payton); his son Mark Sackett; and his siblings, Georgia Cook, Darold "Bud" Sackett, Clifford Sackett and Robert "Bob" Sackett.
He is survived by : his daughters, Lisa Jordan (Keith), Taylor Ridge, Amy Warren (Adam) and LeClaire; and his grandchildren, Emily and Blake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Drowning Victim
Services for Mark Alan Sackett, 23, who drowned Wednesday while fishing at Sylvan Slough near Moline, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Mr. Sackett resided at 2337 33rd St., Moline.
He was born April 17, 1960, victim in Paola,Kan.
He was employed as a laborer by an independent building contractor.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Speck, Coffeyville, Kan.; his father and stepmother, William and Norlene Sackett, Moline; sisters, Lisa and Amy Sackett, both of Moline, and Anna Speck, Coffeyville; and stepbrothers, Charles, Steve and Butch Baffery, Coffeyville.

William P. Sackett
William P. Sackett, 93, Aulander, N.C., formerly of Rock Island, died Friday at a hospital in Aulander.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chaney Funeral Home, Fort Scott, Kan. Burial is in Fort Scott.
Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
He was born July 26, 1893, in Fort Scott, Kan. He married Lillian Lorraina Payton Nov. 2, 1916, in LaHar-pe, Kan. She died Nov. 24, 1966.
He worked for Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Co., Rock Island, from 1928 until 1958, when he retired.
Survivors include a daughter, Georgia Cook, Milan; sons, Darrold, Aulander, N.C., with whom he resided, Clifford, Milan, and Robert and William Jr., both of Moline; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services for Georgia M. Cook, 75, of 4325 26th Ave., Moline, are 1 p.m. Friday at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. .

Mrs. Cook died Monday, Sept. 4, 1995, at Illini Hospital, Silvis.
The former Georgia M. Sackett was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of William Paul and Lillian Payton Sackett. She married Maynard J. Cook Sept. 23, 1939, in Moline.
She enjoyed ceramics and needlework.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Marlin J. and Judith Cook, Dixmont, Maine; a daughter-in-law, Karen Cook, Rogue River, Ore.; grandchildren, Jed and James Cook, Dixmont, and Michael Cook, Tacoma, Wash.; and brothers and a sister-in-law, Darold and Irene Sackett, Aulander, N.C., Robert Sackett, Buffalo, Wyo., and William Sackett, Mesa Grande, Ariz. A son, Maynard Cook Jr., is deceased.

Robert Murrel Sackett, 87, of Silvis, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, at home.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post 246. Those wishing to attend should meet at Esterdahl?s by 12:15 p.m. for a procession to the Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.
Robert was born on May 17, 1930 in Moline, IL, the son of Paul and Lillian (Payton) Sackett. He married Patricia Westlund in 1954; and together they had two daughters. Robert proudly served in the United States Military and Airforce from 1951 to 1955. He then worked as a machine mechanic at the Rock Island Container Corp, JI CASE, and Cummins Diesel. Robert enjoyed golfing, reading, walking, and exercising at the Moline YMCA. He also enjoyed helping out those located at Heartland Towers in Silvis.
Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Sackett, Silvis, and Sandy Solverson, Moline; brother, Bill Sackett, Moline; grandchildren, Nathan Drewes, Denver, CO, Danielle Solverson (Andrew Groene), Colona, Erik Solverson, Phoenix, AZ, and Karl Tornquist, Moline; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was also survived by a number of special friends: Brad and Kristy Hammond, Tim and Mary Ann Reagan, Glen and Mary Ferns, and Robert and Donna Tornquist.
He was preceded in death by his mother; father; brothers, Cliff and Bud; and sister, Georgie.

MOLINE-William "Bill" P. Sackett Jr., 89, of Moline passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at home.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 2106 7th Ave Rock Island. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday at Knox Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Bill was born on June 18, 1932 in Rock Island, a son of William and Lillian (Payton) Sackett. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Bill retired from the Laborers' Local Union 309, where he worked in construction for many years. He was a member of the Eureka Masonic Lodge in Milan for 30 years. His hobbies included watching tennis, golf and college football, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his two grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Lisa (Keith) Jordan, Taylor Ridge and Amy (Adam) Warren, LeClaire; grandchildren, Emily and Blake; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Sackett; and siblings, Georgia Cook, Darold "Bud" Sackett, Clifford Sackett and Robert "Bob" Sackett.
