      Mrs. Antoinette Hobbs

      RED LION, April 11--Mrs. Antoinette Trowbridge Hobbs, widow of Guy Edward Hobbs, who resided with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John I. Finn, 146 North Charles street for the past 13 years, died 'at 9:30 p. m. yesterday at York Hospital. She was 85 years of age.

      The daughter of the late George and Emily Ailing Trowbridge, of Connecticut, she formerly resided in East Longmeadow, Mass. She had been in ill health for the last six weeks. Hobbs died in Red Lion in July 1956.

      The deceased was a member of Emmanuel Congregational Church, Springfield, Mass. She was a past grand matron and life member of Mystic Chapter 20, Eastern Stab, of New Haven, Conn.

      In addition to the daughter with whom she resided, she is survive by two sons, Guy T. Hobbs, Bigmount, and Lloyd A. Hobbs, New Marshfield, Mass, and eight grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held at 8 o'clock Thursday, night at the Byron Funeral Home, Springfield, Mass. The Rev. Andrew J. Stanton will officiate. Interment will be in Southampton, Mass., Cemetery. Local arrangements are in charge of the Burg Funeral Home, 131 West Broadway.

      Guy E. Hobbs

      RED LION, July 16.--Guy E. Hobbs, 82, hoisting and portable engineer and consultant to Guy Hobbs Inc., cabinet manufacturers, for the last 10 years, died at 7:30 a. m. today at York Hospital after an eight-month illness. Husband of Antoinette Trowbridge Hobbs, he resided with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Irving J. Finn, 146 North Charles street. He was the son of the late Sewell J. and Josephine Snow Hobbs. Surviving, in addition to his widow and daughter, are two sons, Guy T. Hobbs, Dover, and Lloyd A Hobbs, North Marshfield, Mass., and two grandchildren. He was a member of Emmanuel Congregational Church of Springfield, Mass., and belonged to the International I Union Operating Engineers. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Springfield, Mass., where burial will take place. The Burg Funeral Home here is in charge of local arrangements.

      John I. Finn

      RED LION -- John I. Finn, 93, died peacefully Saturday, February 12, 2005, at 3:10 p.m. after a brief illness. He was the husband of Wahnetia 'Jo' (Hobbs) Finn who entered into rest May 10, 2000.

      He was born June 7, 1911, in North Wllberham (sic), Mass., the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Clark) Finn.

      Mr. Finn was Vice President and Treasurer of the former Guy Hobbs, Inc. and President of Yorktown Starcraft, retiring in 1976. He was a graduate of Northeastern University.

      He was a member of the Red Lion Country Club and served as President two times; was a life member of the Red Lion Masonic Lodge 649, and affiliated organizations; the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Red Lion Lodge 1592; lifetime member of Red Lion Lions Club serving as a former President; a former member of the Furniture Association, York Chamber of Commerce, and York Manufacturers Association. He was a loyal member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Red Lion.

      Mr. Finn is survived by a son, John I. 'Duff' Finn II of York; two daughters, Dr. Jo-An Cummings Rodenhauser and her husband Stan of Gambrills, Md., and Bonnie Alice Creasy and her husband Tom of Richmond, Va ; two grandchildren, Rob Cummings and his wife Lana, and Kasey Ramsey and her husband Grant; and three great-grandchildren, Kameron, Cole and Ben.

      There will be no viewing. Family will receive friends from 9:15 to 9.45 a.m. Thursday at St Paul's UM Church in Red Lion followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m. at the church. His pastors, the Rev. Lawrence C. Focht, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Glenn M. Dietrich, will officiate the service. A procession will follow the service to Susquehanna Memorial Gardens for interment. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is in charge of the arrangements.

      In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to St Paul's UM Church, 45 First Avenue, Red Lion, PA 17356.
