Larry Karl Baeumel, 74, of Cridersville, went to be with the Lord with his family at his side, 7:50 p.m., Thurs. Oct 16, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born May 26, 1940, in Fryburg, OH, the son of Karl & Frieda (Lunz) Baeumel, who preceded him in death. On April 28, 1962, he married Patricia I. Tyndall, and she survives.
Other survivors include, 2 children, Michael (Joy) Baeumel, Wapakoneta, & Lora (Philip) Judy, Columbus, OH, 5 grandchildren, Carrie (Caleb) Gaboury, Amanda (Calab) Sarchet, Logan Shirk, Olivia Judy, & Jackson Judy, a sister, Alice (Jay) King, Portland, IN, mother-in-law, Marciel Shull, Wapakoneta, and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Paul Baeumel, a father-in-law, Art Tyndall, and a step-father-in-law, Ray Shull.
Larry retired in 1995 from Proctor & Gamble, Lima. Prior to that, he had worked at the Wapakoneta Daily News. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pusheta Rd, where he had served on church council. He enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, fishing, woodworking, but most especially he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending antique tractor shows, and was a 1958 graduate of Blume High School.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tues. Oct. 21, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pusheta Rd., Rev. Karl Frincke officiating. Burial is to follow in the greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

Frieda, 99, Wapakoneta, formerly Fryburg, died at 9:50 a.m., in Auglaize Acres.
She was a daughter of William and Caroline (Knerr) Lunz. On Sep 20, 1933, she married Karl Baeumel, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Patricia), Cridersville; a daughter, Alice (Jay) King, Portland, IN; five grandchildren, Dan (Carol) King, Kevin (Lori) King, Janet (Mark) Jackson, Michael (Joy) Baeumel and Lora (Phil) Judy; and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Walter, Theodore, Elmer and Delbert; and a grandson.
A homemaker, she worked for 20 years with the Wapakoneta City Schools cafeterias. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Pusheta Rd., and a member of its Ladies Aid Society. She had also served as church organist and was a former choir member.
Funeral services will be at the church, with Pastor Ray Long officiating.
