He was a 21-year resident from Buffalo,-N.Y., a member of the Lutheran Church of Avon Park, Poinciana Lodge No. 222 F&AM, Royal Arch Mason, Knights Temple, Winter Haven Chapter No. 41, Commandery No. 37, a Shriner, American Legion Post 69 of Avon Park and a retired civil engineer.

He is survived by wife, Gertrude M.; a brother, Elwood of Avon Park; two sisters-in-law, Helen and Ada Crafts of Avon Park; and several nieces and nephews.

Fountain Funeral Home of Avon Park is in charge of arrangements.
