      512. Luther M.8) (Son of Israel7) (251), (Ancestry Graves6, Thomas5, John4, Thomas3, John2, Lieut. Griffin1). Born in Whately, Mass., 15 Jun., 1832. Married 3 July, 1857, Elizabeth Perry, daughter of Allen and Elizabeth (Wright) Perry of Northfield, Mass. She was born 30 May, 1851. By trade he is a pocket-book manufacturer. He served in the late war in the 52d Mass. regiment, under Col. H.S. Greenleaf, during the whole of its campaign. He participated in the heavy marches and the various battles in Louisiana, ending with the siege and capture of Port Hudson. They live in Whateley (1983) where he has always resided.

      They have had two children, born in Whately, as follows:
