Was Brother-in-law of Dr. A. A. Mackay, of Montreal
Stephen Whitney, son of the late Stephen Suydam and Mrs. Josephine Thompson Whitney, who died at his home, 156 East Fifty-Second street, New York, was born In Morristown, N.J., and attended St. Paul's school in Concord. He married Miss Clarissa Josephine Mackay, second daughter of Mr. Stephen Alexander Mackay, N.P., B.C.L., of Shawvllle, Que. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Stephen Suydam, Arthur Thompson, and Douglas Mackay. Another son, James McVicker Whitney, was killed In action during the war. He leaves one brother, Arthur Whitney, New Jersey State Senator, and sister, Mrs. Robert L Stevens. He was a brother-in-law of Seymour L. Cromwell, president of the New York Stock Exchange, and Dr. A, A. Mackay, Montreal, and Charles Arthur Mackay, of Los Angeles, Cal.
