      A. Schudder (sic) Moore

      BROCKTON. May 8.-- A. Schudder (sic) Moore, 70, of 98 So. Elm St., West Bridgewater, retired general superintendent of the Brockton Edison Co., died late last night at Phaneuf Hospital. He was stricken with a heart attack Tuesday.

      A native of Lynn, he attended schools there and recevied 9sic) a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maine in 1910. He joined the Boston Edi son Co. in 1913, and served the company for more than 40 years, retiring four years ago.

      He headed the Liberty Bond drive during World War I, and was director of Civil Defense in Brockton during World War II.

      He was past president of the University Club, and a director of the Rotary Club, Commercial Club, Y.M.C.A., and the Brockton Fair, and trustee of the People's Savings Bank.

      He leaves a wife, Ruth (Murray); a daughter, Mrs. Richard Hersey, Portland; a brother, William B. Moore, West Peabody, and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest L. Richardson and H. Catherine Moore. both of Danvers.

      Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sampson funeral home.
