      Charles Coulby Sr.

      Word has been received of the death of Charles A. Coulby Sr., 105, who died Saturday in a health care center in Salisbury, Md.

      Survivors include two sons, Charles A. Coulby Jr. of Oakland, Calif., and W. Edward Coulby of Asheville; a daughter, Dorothy C. Hickson of Salisbury, Md.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

      Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Newnam Funeral Home In Easton, Md.

      Charles A. Coulby

      Easton (Special)--Services for Charles A. Coulby, who was 105 and had worked as a farmer in this area for many years, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Newnam funeral establishment here.

      Mr. Coulby died Saturday after a short illness at a nursing home in Salisbury, where he lived for about two years.

      He bought his farm near Easton in 1911, three years before his marriage to the former Florence Ross, who died in 1965.

      Mr. Coulby represented Talbot county in the House of Delegates for three terms in the 1920s and 1930s.

      A native of the Easton area, he was a member of St Mark's United Methodist Church in Easton and the Talbot County Farm Bureau.

      He is survived by two sons, Charles A. Coulby, Jr., of Oakland, Calif., and W. Edward Coulby, of Asheville, N.C.; a daughter, Dorothy C Hickson, of Salisbury, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

      The family suggested that memorial gifts be made to St Mark's United Methodist Church or any charity.
