Close of the Term--Sentences-- E Belcher Sackett Azquitted and Re-arrested--The Recorder's Charge.
Saturday was the last day of the October Term in this Court, and those prisoners convicted duting the term, who hadnot been sentenced, were places at the bar.

The trial of E. Belcher SACKETT for perjury was resumed, adn occupied the attention of the Court till 7 P.M. Sackett, it will be remembered, was charged with falsely swearing, in going bail for Jacob H. Mott some months since, that he was worth $5,000-over and above all debts; that he woned a house at No. 164 Henry-street, worth $7,500, and two houses in Madison-street, Brooklyn, wheras, as the prosecution alleged, all his property was deeply incumbered, and that, in reality, he was not worth a cent. The evidence was purely of a technical character, having reference to the presentation of deeds and judgements.
Recorder BARNARD charged strongly in favor of the prisoner on all the points presented, and after an absence of half an hour the Jury returned a verdict of axquittal. Mrs. Sackett, who, during the trial sat beside her husband, on hearing the verdict, clasped him in her arms, with a loud exclamation of joy. Her delight was but of brief duration, however, for presently two Deputy Sheriffs from the County Clert's office re-arrested Mr. Sacket on a civil process in reference to certain judgements alluded to on the trial, and conducted him to Eldridge-street jail.
