      Bert Sackett of Coleman Co. Dies

      Coleman, Aug 11, - Bert Sackett, member of a prominent West Texas family and a son of Henry Sackett of Camp Colorado, former satte representative, died unexpectedly Saturday. His death was attributed to a heart attack.

      Mr. Sackett, a native of Camp Colorado, was 50 years old.

      He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Henry Sackett, four children, four brothers, and four sisters. The children are Mrs. J. J. Shore, and Mary, Dorothy, and James Sackett. Brothers are W. H., George, fred, and Henry Sackett, all of Coleman, and the sisters are Miss May Sackett of Coleman, Mrs. W. N. Thomas, Amarillo, Mrs. Grace Gothaus, San Antonio, and Mrs. T. J. Stewart, El Paso.

      Funeral arrangements were incomplete tonight.

      W.H. Sackett, Coleman, Dies

      COLEMAN, Oct. 10 --(RNS)-- Funeral services for W. H. Sackett, 68, life-long resident of Coleman county, died at his residence Thursday morning. Funeral services were to be held at the Stevens chapel Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., with burial in Coleman. The J. W. Whitefield was to officiate at the services.

      Mr. Sackett was born at Camp Colorado, and had lived in Coleman county all of his life. He was a retired merchant.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. H. Sackett, a son, Leslie, of Yuma, Arizona, a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Wright of Coleman, three brothers, George of San Angelo, Fred of Coleman, and Henry oi Dallas; and four sisters. May Sackett and Mrs. Maude Coulson of Camp Colorado, Mrs. Grace Volz of San Antonio, and Mrs, T. J. Stewart of Tyler.

      J. E. Stevens Co. has charge arrangements.

      Pioneer Buried At Coleman

      COLEMAN. Sept. 14. (RNS) -- Last rites for Miss May Sackett, who was born Dec. 9. 1876 at Colorado a member of a prominent pioneer family, was held Saturday morning at the Catholic Church in Coleman, with Father Poster officiating. Burial was in the city cemetery.

      Miss Sackett, a ranch woman, has been living at the old Sackett home on the original Camp Colorado site. She died Sept. 10, at the Overall Memorial Hospital.

      Survivors include: three brothers. George Sackett of San Angelo, Fred Sackett, Coleman, and Henry Sackett of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Colson (sic) of Coleman, Mrs. Grace Volz of San Antonio and Mrs. T. J. Stewart of Tyler.

      J. E. Stevens Co. was in charge of funeral arrangements.

      FRED SACKETT

      COLEMAN, Nov. 15 (CTS) -- Fred Sackett, 68, died Friday in a local hospital after an illness of two weeks. He was a lifetime resident of Coleman County. Sackett was an airport attendant and a member of the Methodist Church in Coleman.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. U. A. Schulze officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery.

      Survivors include his wife; one son, Fred Sackett Jr., of Austin; one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Crockett of Coleman; one brother, Henry Sackett of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Al Volz and Mrs. Nell Stewart, both of San Antonio; and three grandchildren.
