- Rev. Thomas Lambert Moore is not obviously related to his wife. He is descended from the immigrants Hon. John Moore and Lady Rebecca Axtell and from Sir Francis Moore.

Rev. Thomas Lambert Moore, (1758-99), Rector of St. George's Church, Hempstead L.I., m Judith ( -1834), daughter of Samuel Moore, Esq., of Newtown, L.I. and sister of the Rt. Rev. Benjamin Moore., D.D., (1748-1816), Bishop of the diocese of New York. (descendants of the Rev. John Moore, who was located at Southampton, L.I. in 1641and died at Newtown in 1657).
NOTE:
There was no blood relationship between the Thomas Lambert Moore line and the Rt. Rev. Benjamin Moore line, at least not on the western continent.
