      The Evening News, Wilkes-Barre Saturday, 5 April 1924 Death of Mrs. Sackett The death of Mrs. Anna Sackett, aged 79, occurred at her home, 33 Arch Street, last night of complications. Mrs. Sackett had been a resident of this city for over sixty years and was active in the Parrish Street Baptist church. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Emma Lloyd of Nanticoke, and Mrs. George (Frances) W. Schaffer, and two brothers, Frank and Henry and eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. ------

Smith: Times Leader, Wilkes-Barre Saturday, 5 April 1924 Mrs. Anna Sackett Of complications, Mrs Anna Sackett, aged 79, died at her home, 32 Arch Street last night at 9:40 o'clock. She was a member of Parrish Street Baptist Church and had lived in this city for sixty years. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Emma Lloyd of Nanticoke, Mrs. George (Frances) Schaffer, with whom she had resided and Harry Sackett; also by two brothers, Frank and Thomas Lentz of this city (Kansas); eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services will be conducted at the residence and interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery. ------ Posted by Ted C. Smith: Wilkes-Barre Record Monday, 7 April 1924 Mrs. Anna M. Sackett Dies. Mrs. Anna M. Sackett died Friday night at 9:40 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George W. Schaffer, of heart trouble. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emma Lloyd of Nanticoke, and Mrs. George W. Schaffer with home she resided, one son, Harry of this city, and two brothers, Frank and Thomas Lentz of Kansas City, Kansas. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Deceased was a member of Parrish Street Methodist Church for more than fifty years, and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. The funeral of Mrs. Anna M. Sackett was held from the home of her daughter,Mrs. George W. Schaffer, 32 Arch sreet, city, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. J. R. Pennell, pastor of the Parrish Street M. E. Church, conducted services at the home. A quartet from Parrish Street M. E. Church sang several selections. The flowers were carried by deceased's great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Violet Lawson, Millard Carr and Charles Gosart. The pall bearers were John Derolf, William ?, Samuel ?, Bruce Keffer, Fred Lloyd, Charles Gosart. Interment was in the family plot of Hanover Green.
