Walter Hanchett
Walter Hanchett passed away Friday, afternoon at the home of his son, Howard, in south Linden street, following an illness of nine months.
Mr. Hanchett was born at Rice Creek, Nov. 7, 1856, and was the son of Robert and Margaret Marrow Hanchett. He lived around Marshall the early part of his life and for the past forty-six years had lived near Bellevue.
He is survived by four children, Howard, Claude and Roy, of Marshall, and Ethel of Aberdeen, Wash. Also twelve grand children and six great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Miller and a brother, George Chaddock, both of Battle Creek.
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Burkhead funeral home In Olivet. Rev. M. G. Inghram will officiate and burial will be in Hotcukiss cemetery.
