MRS. IVA SACKETT DIED IN CHAMPAIGN HOSPITAL
Former Resident of Creek Township Passed Away Sunday
Mrs. Iva Sackett, aged 25 years, a former resident of Creek township, died in the Champaign hospital, Sunday, after being ill for the past two weeks with an attack of peritonitis. The remains were brought to Clinton and the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Christian church of which the deceased was a member. Rev, R, L. Cartwright will have charge of the services.
The deceased was born in Lane, Illinois, March 16, 1895 and May 25, 1912 was united in marriage to Charles Simmons who was killed in France, October 10, 1918. To this union two children were born, James William, aged 4 and Charles Robert, aged 2. In September of 1919 the deceased was united in marriage to Paul Sackett, since which time they have made their home in Rantoul. Besides the husband and two children Mrs. Sackett is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Brunner, of Lane, one sister, Mrs. Earl Hartsock of Lane, and one brother, Fred Brunner, of this city.
