Mrs. Lettc A. Welch
SMITHS CREEK -- Letta A. Welch, 90, of 6195 Griswold Road, died Friday, May 29, 1981, in Yale Medical Care Center.
Mrs. Welch was born May 5, 1891, near Yale. She lived there since 1925 then moved to Smiths Creek. She was a member of the Smiths Creek Community Church and of the Smiths Creek Extension Group for 40 years.
She married Grant Welch June 16, 1913. He died Jan. 23, 1968.
Mrs. Welch is survived by a son, The Rev. Howard Welch, of Foley, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Bourbonais, of Smiths Creek; two brothers, George and Elwin Beadle, both of Yale; and four granddaughters.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Homes-South Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Bills will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Rich Cox of Smiths Creek Community Church.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.
Visiting hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Smiths Creek Community Church.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Gracey, Neal Lambert, James Hyde, Clifford Evans, Vernon Ross and Milford Angbrandt.

Grant J. Welch
Grant J. Welch, 85, of 6195 Griswold Road, died Tuesday in his home after a long illness.
A retired Morton Salt Company employe, he was born June 17, 1882, in Yale, and had been an area resident 42 years. He married Letta A. Beadle June 16, 1913, in Yale.
He is survived by his widow; a son, Rev. Howard Welch, Foley, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Elliott Bourbonais, Portage, Mich.: a sister, Mrs. Grace Cole, Detroit; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Arthur Smith Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Daniel T. Bills, pastor of Smith Creek Community Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.
