HARRISON, Martha T. (Torda)
Martha T. (Torda) Harrison, 89, died Monday morning (August 17, 2009) at Beaumont Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Harrison who died in 1984. She was born in Torrington the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Orban) Torda and moved to Westborough, MA in 1967. She was employed as a Noon Aid at the Fales Elementary School in Westborough for many years. She was a long time member of Saint Luke's Church where she was part of the Saint Luke's Women's Club and the Saint Luke's Senior Adults. For many years she was a member of the Westborough Women's Club. She is survived by three sons, Robert H. Harrison of the Villages, FL, James F. Harrison of North Chittenden VT, William A. Harrison of Merrimack NH; two daughters, Frances H. Into of Cromwell, Barbara H. Conway of Westford; eight grandchildren, Rev. Timothy Harrison, Brian Harrison, Karen Into, Benjamin Harrison, Shawna Harrison, Robin Harrison, Katie Harrison, Alexander Harrison; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Kenneth Harrison and two brothers, John A Torda and Alexander J. Torda Jr.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Saint Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St. Westborough, MA. Burial will take place on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott, CT. Visiting hours will be held on Friday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Rand Harper Pickering Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Westborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Saint Luke's Parish Outreach, 70 West Main St. Westborough MA 01581 or the Westborough Woman's Club P.O. Box 182, Westborough MA 01581

Mother Finds Child, 3, Dead In His Crib
MANCHESTER (Special)-- Three-year-oId Kenneth Harrison, son of Donald and Martha Torda Harrison, of 15 Griswold St., was found dead in his crib late Thursday afternoon by his mother. After an autopsy at Manchester Memorial Hospital, medical examiner Robert R. Keeney Jr., said that death was due to suffocation brought on by a slight cold and a respiratory infection.
He said the child had been dead for about a half an hour when found.
Besides his parents he leaves two sisters, Frances M. and Barbara E, Harrison, and three brothers. Robert H., Jem James F., and William A. Harrison all of this town his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Torda of Torrington, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Harrison of Waterbury.
Prayer services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Walcott.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 tonight.

Hancock in New Hampshire, William A. Harrison of Litchfield, N.H.; two daughters, Frances H. Into of Sarasota, Fla., and Barbara H. Conway of Wakefield, Mass. Funeral services from the Rand and Harper Funeral Home, 62 W. Main St., Westboro, Mass., will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. Graveside services will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott, Ct., Wednesday, 2 p.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
