      ELGIN -- Mrs. Lucille I. Ball, 74, of Elgin died Aug. 10, 1977, in her home.

      She was born on Aug. 19, 1901, in Illinois the daughter of Oscar and Isabelle (Kittleson) Berg.

      She is survived by three sons, Kenneth, Ronald of Elgin, Delos of South Elgin; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Betty) Orman of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Neva Reynolds of Maple Park, Mrs. Russell (Louella) Miller of Midlothian; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter three brothers and three sisters.

      Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Chapel in Elgin. Burial will be in Lake Street Memorial Park, Elgin.

      Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the chapel.

      Oscar Berg of This City Is Taken Sunday
      Oscar B. Berg, age 73, a resident of this city for the past 21 years and previously a resident of the Creston community for many years, died last evening about 10:00 clock at his home on Haish Boulevard. Mr. Berg had not been well for the past two years, his health gradually failing, until his death last evening.
      Oscar B. Berg was born in Creston on April 29, 1868, the son, of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Berg, pioneer residents of that community. On October 1, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Isabella Kittleson and for a number of years the home was made on a farm in the Creston area. In 1920 the family moved to DeKalb, where the home has since been made. Mr. Berg was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, in which he was very active, serving as a deacon for a number of years.
      He is survived by his widow, nine sons and daughters, Mrs. Hattie Edwards of Lee, Mahlon of Shabbona, Orville of Elgin, Miss Esther of Chicago, Earl of Joliet, Mrs. Lucille Ball of Elgin, Mrs. Luella Cedaroth of Chicago, Mrs. Mildred Lenke of DeKalb, and Mrs. Neva Reynolds of Chase; one brother, Adolph, residing in British Columbia, and three sisters, Mrs. Mathilda Wood of DeKalb, Mrs. Lena Quitno of Rockford, and Mrs. Hilda Quitno of Creston; 21 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
      Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock from the home and at 1:00 o'clock from the Wirtz Funeral Home, the Rev. Valtinson to conduct the service. Interment win be in the Union Cemetery south of Creston.

      Mrs. Isabel Berg, 89, 503 Haish Boulevard, passed away Wednesday at the County Home following a long illness.
      She was born in Milan Township, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Halver Kittleson. She married Oscar Berg of Sycamore in October, 1890. They moved to DeKalb in 1920.
      Mrs. Berg was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society for the past 25 years.
      Survivors include three sons, Mahlon, Shabbona; Orville, Delvan, Minn.; and Earl, Kirkland; and five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Lenke, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Hattie Edwards, both of DeKalb; Mrs. Lucille Ball, Elgin; Mrs. Luella Cederoth, Chicago; and Mrs. Niva (Neva) Reynolds, Maple Park. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the family home and t 2 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Sterling R. Johnson, pastor, and Rev. J. O. Valtinson, Chicago officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Lee.
      Friends may call in the family home after noon Friday until time of services.
