JAMES BALL
Kingston, Oct 17.--James Ball, 78, of Union, died at 2 o'clock this morning, Oct 17, 1951 at his home of a heart attack.
He was born in Kingston Township, March 22, 1873 the son of Delos and Mary Reynolds-Ball. His marriage to Alice Baker of Kingston took place, on August 22, 1901. He was a retired farmer and moved to Union several years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Alice: six sons, William, Delos and Floyd of Elgin, Clarence of Union, Howard of Woodstock, Ray of Huntley and four daughters, Sadie and Edna or Huntley, Lela of Algonquin and Viola of Elgin; four brothers, Frank A., Harley, Jay W. of Kingston, Edward of Belvidere; two sisters, Dalsey Powell of Elgin and Lillie Powers of California.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m on Friday, Oct. 19 at the Union Church. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.

FORMER BELVIDERE RESIDENT IS DEAD OF FLU AT GENOA
"Poe" Baker, at One Time a Well Known Belvidere Man, Dies After a Week's Illness of Influenza at Genoa-- Burial Will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
Ambrose "Poe" Baker, 72, of Genoa, a former resident of Belvidere, died on Christmas day at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oscar Johnson, after a week's illness from the flu.
Besides the daughter mentioned two sons and two other daughters, survive. They are Arthur Baker of Genoa, Claude Baker of DeKslb, Mrs. F. C. Fanning of Genoa, and Mrs. William Ball of Elgin.
The funeral will, be held at Genoa Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery.

James Balls To Celebrate 50th Anniversary
Open house will be held from 2 to 4 o'clock p.m. Sunday, by Mr. and Mrs. James Ball at their home in Union for their friends and relatives in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary which will occur on Wednesday, August 22.
Mr. and Mrs. Ball were married August 22, 1901 in Belvidere, They resided in Beividere, Kingston; and on a farm east of Union for the past 25 years. For the last 7 years, they have lived in Union. Mrs. Ball is 73 years old and her husband is 78 years old.
The couple have ten children, namely: William Ball, Floyd Ball, Delos Ball, and Viola Marsek of Elgin; Lelia Diedrick, Algonquin; Clarence Ball, Union; Ray Ball, Sadie Alio, and Edna Harting, Huntley; Howard Ball, Woodstock. They have 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
