Mrs. D. W. Ball
Kingston, Sept. 22.--Funeral services for Mrs. D. W. Ball, 79, who died at her home here at 5:40 p. m. Wednesday, will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the residence. The Rev. S. W. Powell, of the First Baptist church of Elgin, will officiate, and burial will be in the Kingston cemetery.
Mrs. Ball, the former Mary Reynolds, was born Aug. 7, 1854, in Muncie, Pa., the daughter of William and Sarah Miller Reynolds. She came with her parents to Kingston township at an early age, and had resided here since. Her marriage to Delos W. Ball of Kingston took place Dec. 2, 1871.
Besides her husband she is survived by eight children, Mrs. Lillian Powers of Chicago, Mrs. Daisy Thiede of Elgin, F. Adelbert, Harley and Jay Ball, all of Kingston, James Ball of Huntley, Edward Ball of Belvidere and Jesse Ball of Poplar
Grove; a sister. Mrs. Louise Schnidt of Rockford; three brothers, Harry Reynolds of Belvidere, George Reynolds of Washington and William Reynolds of Pennsylvania; twenty-three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Kingston, May 31--Jesse D. Ball, 53, died yesterday morning at Ryburn Memorial hospital in Ottawa. He was born in Kingston Jan. 15, 1884 the son of Delos W. and Mary Reynolds Ball.
Surviving are his father, five brothers James L., of Huntley, F. Adelbert, of Kingston, Edward E. of Belvidere, J. W. and Harley R., both of Kingston, and two sisters, Mrs. Lily Powers. of Chicago and Mrs. Daisy Thiede, of Elgin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the W. W. Cooper funeral home in Genoa. The Rev. Earl M. Edwards, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church in Genoa, will officiate and burial will be in Kingston cemetery.

Delos Ball of Kingston to Have Birthday
Kingston, Jan. 10.--Delos W. Ball, Kingston's oldest resident, will reach his 100th birthday on Thursday, Jan. 12.
Although he has lost his sight and is forced to remain in his bed practically all of the time, he continues to be keenly interested in a great variety of topics. He listened to all baseball broadcasts during the past summer and enjoyed many of the football game reports.
Sunday he was able to enjoy visiting with Mr. and Mrs. James Ball of Union, Mr. , and Mrs. Ray Ball and family of Huntley, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Powell and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ball and family of Elgin.
Mr. Ball was born tn Juda, Wis., on January 12, 1850 and with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Ball, moved to Springfield, Pa., when he was only a baby. He came to Kingston when 19 years of age and was engaged in farming until he retired and moved to the village in 1915.
He was married to Mary Jane Reynolds, who passed away in 1933. One son died at the age of 11 months and another, Jess, passed away in 1938.
He has three sons living in Kingston, F. A. Ball, Jay and Harley, and James at Union, Edward in Belvidere and two daughters Mrs. Lillie Powers of Torrance, Calif, and Mrs. Arthur Powell of Elgin. He has 25 grand children and 34 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Lore Wilson lives at Kirkland.

JAMES BALL
Kingston, Oct 17.--James Ball, 78, of Union, died at 2 o'clock this morning, Oct 17, 1951 at his home of a heart attack.
He was born in Kingston Township, March 22, 1873 the son of Delos and Mary Reynolds-Ball. His marriage to Alice Baker of Kingston took place, on August 22, 1901. He was a retired farmer and moved to Union several years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Alice: six sons, William, Delos and Floyd of Elgin, Clarence of Union, Howard of Woodstock, Ray of Huntley and four daughters, Sadie and Edna or Huntley, Lela of Algonquin and Viola of Elgin; four brothers, Frank A., Harley, Jay W. of Kingston, Edward of Belvidere; two sisters, Dalsey Powell of Elgin and Lillie Powers of California.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m on Friday, Oct. 19 at the Union Church. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
