Thomson, Peter G.R.
Born August 23, 1941, in the Province of Quebec, died October 7, 1991, in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after graduating with a degree in Economics from Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Peter worked as a CUSO volunteer in Malaysia and then at the CUSO Headquarters in Ottawa where he met and married his wife, Ann Stephens. Shortly after that they left for work in Ghana for CUSO and later CIDA. With their three children, Anthony, Hilary and Matthew they have also lived in Bangladesh and England, where he earned his Ph.D at the London School of Economics. Most recently Peter has been on secondment from CIDA at the World Bank in Washington. Ann Thomson invites all of Peter's former friends and colleagues to a reception in his honour at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th, at 512 MacLaren Street in Ottawa.
