Allen M. Seward, 83, a retired construction engineer and a resident of Northville, died of complications from a stroke Wednesday at the Charter House of Farmington Hills.
Mr. Seward graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan in 1933. He worked more than 30 years for Fisher Body, supervising plant changeovers and the construction of plants throughout the country.
He was a lifetime member of the former Chevrolet Glee Club, now known as the Gentlemen Songsters. Mr. Seward enjoyed traveling, golf and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter Suzanne Engelbracht; son Matthew; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
An 11 a.m. memorial service will be today at the Ross B. Northrop & Son Funeral Home, 19091 Northville Road, Northville. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
