"Served Marysville Commission 6 Years - Marysville, February 14 - Thomas Snay, 54, of 1338 New Hampshire Ave., former City Commissioner, died early today in Mercy Hospital after a two-month illness. A resident of Marysville 24 years, Mr. Snay served on the City Commission six years. He was first elected in 1944 and was re-elected for consecutive terms. He was not a candidate for re-election in 1949. Mr. Snay was born May 7, 1900. in St. Clair. He was a member of Marysville Lions Club, Marysville Community Methodist Church and an underwriter for John Hancock Life Insurance Co. 19 years. He and Muriel Bourbonais were married May 31, 1934, in Port Huron. Mr. Snay is survived by his widow; two daughters; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Snay, all of Marysville; three brothers, Justice Fred C. Snay and Frank C. Snay, both of Marysville, and Joseph Snay, Port Huron; two sisters, Mrs. George E. Nestle and Mrs. Floyd T. Fuller, both of Marysville. Services will be held (Tuesday at the Arthur Smith Funeral Home) Rev. Roger W. Merrell, pastor of Marysville Methodist Church.
