      Hazel D. Gregg, 91, former resident of Memphis and Smiths Creek, died Thursday in Foley Nursing Home, Foley,. Ala., after a long illness.

      She was born May 11, 1886, in Smiths Creek. She married Louis F. Bourbonais. He died in 1935. She married James B. Gregg. He died in 1961.

      Mrs. Gregg was a school teacher in the North Street Grade School for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Goodells.

      She is survived by two sons, Elliot P. Bourbonais, Portage, Mich., and Gene L. Bourbonais, Marysville; three daughters, Muriel E. Snay, Woodbridge, Va., Geraldine L. Welch, Foley, and Lois B. Malane, Port Huron; a stepson, George C. Gregg, Hale, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Gladys G. Turner, Port Huron; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucy H. Whitney, Wayne, Mich.

      Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery, Foley.

      Muriel married Thomas Snay 31 May 1934 in Port Huron, Michigan; they were the parents of two daughters including Sally Snay Wyllie who is also buried in Caswell Cemetery. After Thomas Snay's death, she married Karl Ramsey Oct 1979. Muriel died in River District Hospital, East China Township, St. Clair County, Michigan.

      Muriel was a school teacher with many educational credits. She was Valedictorian of Marysville (Michigan) High School in June, 1927; earned a Life Teaching certificate from Central State Teachers College (Central Michigan University) 1931; Bachelors Degree from Wayne State University 1957; and Master of Arts in Elementary Education from University of South Alabama 1971. She taught at various places, from one-room country schools to the Naval Communication Station Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands; Yokosuka Naval Station, Japan, and Quantico Marine Base in Virginia.

      "Served Marysville Commission 6 Years - Marysville, February 14 - Thomas Snay, 54, of 1338 New Hampshire Ave., former City Commissioner, died early today in Mercy Hospital after a two-month illness. A resident of Marysville 24 years, Mr. Snay served on the City Commission six years. He was first elected in 1944 and was re-elected for consecutive terms. He was not a candidate for re-election in 1949. Mr. Snay was born May 7, 1900. in St. Clair. He was a member of Marysville Lions Club, Marysville Community Methodist Church and an underwriter for John Hancock Life Insurance Co. 19 years. He and Muriel Bourbonais were married May 31, 1934, in Port Huron. Mr. Snay is survived by his widow; two daughters; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Snay, all of Marysville; three brothers, Justice Fred C. Snay and Frank C. Snay, both of Marysville, and Joseph Snay, Port Huron; two sisters, Mrs. George E. Nestle and Mrs. Floyd T. Fuller, both of Marysville. Services will be held (Tuesday at the Arthur Smith Funeral Home) Rev. Roger W. Merrell, pastor of Marysville Methodist Church.
