Hoover, 75, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Westville, who died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, Hollywood, Fla., will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Haverstock Funeral Chapel, La Porte. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and until services Saturday in the funeral chapel. Mr. Hoover was the former owner of Hoovers Motel and Restaurant. He was born Jan. 31, 1913, in LaPorte. He moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1980. On June 8, 1933, in LaPorte, he married Phyllis Canfield. She survives with a daughter, Julie Loomis of Hollywood; a son, Gerald of Hanna; three grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Ohlis and Rachel Zellers, both of LaPorte; and a brother, Charles of Mishawaka.
