      Michael R. Carter
      Miss Darlene Hunt

Two teen-agers were killed and four other persons injured at 3:20 a.m. yesterday when the car in which they were riding slammed against a semi-trailer truck on foggy U.S. 40 about half a mile west of Brazil.
Michael R Carter, 17, the driver, and Miss Darlene Hunt, 13, both of Greenville O, were killed instantly, Clay County Sheriff Glenn Van Horn said.

The truck driver, Willard E. Fisher, 54, Cleveland, O, who was driving his rig from a motel onto the highway, was not injured. Both Fisher and a witness to the accident told Van Horn the car approached without headlights and struck the rear wheels of the trailer.

The four injured, all from the car, are Terry Kouts, 13, who was listed in critical condition in Union Hospital at Terre Haute; Miss Bonnie Martin, 14 serious in Clay County Hospital at Brazil; Raymond E. Johnson 20 owner of the car, fair, and transferred to a Dayton (O.) hospital and Miss Patty Kouts. 14, serious in James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children.

Eight of the 10 auto fatalities this year in Clay County have been on U.S. 40.
