Mary Jane Carty Sackett, 86, Sunnyside, Wash., died of natural causes Sunday at 5 30 a.m. in a Sunnyside hospital.
Born Jan 17, 1879. Married Dwight Putman Sackett. He died in 1955. Catholic Church Royal Neighbor Lodge, Salt Lake City.
Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Oliver A. (Dorothy) Bond, Sunnyside; sons, Raymond C., Salt Lake City; Dwight P., Melrose, Mass; Edward, Trenton N.J.; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial Wednesday, 10 a.m., Sunnyside.

Raymond C. Sackett, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away March 26, 1995 due to complications sustained from an accidental fall.
Ray was born April 24, 1907 in Salt Lake City to Dwight P. Sackett and Mary Jane Carty. He attended schools in the Salt Lake vicinity and graduated from Granite High School in 1927 where he excelled in track and field. He married Cleota E. Boren May 4, 1929 also in Salt Lake City. This union produced four children who loved and respected him in every way.Ray was a devoted member of the Iron Workers of America, Local No. 27 where he served for over 50 years. He served in many capacities including education, training and as a member of the Executive Board.
Ray was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He enjoyed camping and weekends at the "cabin." His garden was his pride and joy and many friends and neighbors enjoyed the fruits of his efforts.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Cleota of Salt Lake City, a brother Edward of Yuma, Arizona; son Raymond C. (Florence) Sackett, Minneapolis, Minnesota; son Robert G. (Donna) Sackett, Littleton, Colorado; daughters Mrs. James K. (Joan) Harrington, Sandy, Utah; and daughter Mrs. Jerry C. (Sandra) Rowley, Heber City, Utah; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 1995 at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Tuesdayfrom 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Cleota E. Sackett 1910 ~ 2006 Cleota E. Sackett, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dearest friend passed away September 25, 2006. Cleota was born in Oakley, Idaho to John Coleman Boren and Annie Margaret Fugal. We rejoice in the reunion with her husband Raymond Chesley Sackett, who preceded her in death after 66 years of marriage on March 26, 1995. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and baked the best bread in town. She is survived by her sons: Raymond C. (Florence) Sackett of Minneapolis, MN, Robert G. Sackett of Littleton, CO, daughters: Joan (James K.) Harrington of Sandy, Utah, and Sandra (Jerry C.) Rowley of Heber City, UT. She will be missed and loved by all her family and all the wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 29, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Dr., where a viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
