      Mrs. Knickerbocker

      NEW PALTZ--Mrs. Beatrice E. Knickerbocker, 77, of 41 S. Ohiovijle Rd., died Wednesday at her home.

      An area resident for most of her life, she was born in Stanfordville, Aug. 2, 1900, the daughter of Ellis C. and Ella (Vradenburgh) Robinson. She was a member of the Reformed Church of New Paltz. Her husband, George P. Knickerbocker, former highway superintendent of the Town of New Paltz, predeceased her on June 20. 1972.

      She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Beattle, and Mrs. Shirley Kelly, both of New Paltz, and three grandchildren.

      Calling hours will be tonight, 7 to 9 o'clock, at the Pine Funeral Home, 124 Main St., New Paltz.

      The funeral will be Friday, 2 p.m., at the funeral home. The Rev. Garret Roorda will officiate.

      Burial will be in the Lloyd Cemetery.

      Contributions may be made to the New Paltz Rescue Squad.

      Mrs Marie Halstead Coffin Robinson, 51, Stanfordville, wife of Ellis C Robinson, died Sunday at her home. She was born in Virginia, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Halstead. During her childhood, she lived with her aunt, the late Mrs. Oliver K. Smith of Stanford. In 1904 she married the late Edwin Coffin and lived in Millbrook. Later she went to Stissing where Mr. Coffin conducted a grocery store. He died 6 years ago. Five years ago, Mrs. Robinson went to Stanfordville at the time of her second marriage. Survived by her husband, daughters Mrs. Clifford Falk of Los Angeles, Lois Coffin of Poughkeepsie, and Elsie Coffin of Stanfordville; Mrs Paul Haight, Stissing; son Eugene Halstead Coffin, Stanfordville; two brothers, Joseph & William Halstead, Los Angeles, and Otis Halstead of San Diego; four grandchildren, Edward Coffin Falk, Los Angeles; June, Barbara & Lois Coffin, Stanfordville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George Knickerbocker, Ohioville, and Hilda Robinson, New York City.

      Kelly-Knickerbocker Wedding in New Paltz

      St. Joseph's rectory, New Pallz, was the scene yesterday afternoon of the marriage of Miss Shirley Beatrice Knickerbocker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Knickerbocker, New Paltz, to Robert Arthur Kelly, son or Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Kelly, Lake Placid. The double ring ceremony took place at 2 30 o'clock with the Rev. Father Pagan officiating. Baskets of white pompon chrysanthemums were used In the decorations.

      The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown fashioned with a round neckline trimmed with seed pearls. Her fingertip veil of illusion was arranged on a Juliet cap trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a spray of white roses.

      Miss Joyce Ann Knickerbocker, New Paltz, attended her sister a maid of honor. Her gown of aqua taffeta and net was made with a round neckline and full skirt. She wore a shoulder length veil arranged on a Juliet cap and carried a spray of talisman roses.

      Mrs. Knickerbocker chose for her daughter's wedding a brown crepe dress with winter white accents. Mrs. Kelly was attired in plum crepe with black accessories. Both had corsages of yellow roses.

      Craig Darren, Lake Placid, attended the bridegroom as best man. There was a reception after the ceremony at the Knickerbocker home. The couple, left there for a wedding trip to the New England States and upon their return will reside at 158 Main street, New Paltz. For traveling, the bride chose a wine colored suit with black accessories and a corsage of white roses.

      A graduate of New Pelts High school and Krissler's Business school, the bride is employed at IBM. Her husband, an alumnus of Lake Placid High school and Smith Technical school, Syracuse, is a veteran of the Army Air corps.

      Out-of-town guests attended from Watertown,. Syracuse, New York City, Long Island, Brooklyn, Stanfordvllle, Poughkeepsie, Lake Placid and Connecticut.
