      Mrs. Vernie J. Adams Ackert, of Rhinebeck, widow of Henry J. Ackert, died at the Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, Tuesday, September 3 and had she lived until September 15, would have been 80 years. She had been ill two weeks and death was due to thrombosis. She as born in Stanford, the daughter of Sanford and Sara E. Sackett Adams. Her early life was spent in Stanford and she had been a resident of the town of Rhinebeck for 49 years. Survivors are a son, Russell Ackert and two granddaughters,Rosellen and Ruth Ackert, of Rhinebeck; a brother, Arthur Adams, of Stanfordville; a niece, Mrs. Chester Van Benschoten, of Stanfordville and a nephew, Nathan Adams, of Southern Pines, North Carolina. The burial was in the Stanford Cemetery.
