He was preceded in death by his son, James M. Simms. He was a member of El Camino Baptist Church and was a dedicated family man. Funeral service 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 23, 2004 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Burial to follow in TMP East Lawn. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to service time on Friday, April 23, 2004.
